Charles Simmonds is an Associate at Robertson Stephens who supports Team Westport through client onboarding, account management, and operational oversight. He oversees cash movement, trade execution, and custodian relationships while ensuring compliance and smooth day-to-day account maintenance. In this role, Charles helps deliver an exceptional client experience and contributes to the firm’s commitment to service and excellence.
Before joining Robertson Stephens, Charles has always been in or adjacent to client service. At Third Bridge, he was a Project Manager on the Public Equities team where he oversaw a book of business with $50+ billion in AUM, covering analysts’ research projects across every industry from AI to space and beauty to HVAC. Other previous roles include wealth management at Rockefeller Capital Management, consulting on business continuity and crisis exercises at Control Risks, and healthcare recruiting at Ready (now known as myLaurel).
Charles graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Environmental Studies. While there, he played for the Men’s Rugby club and sang bass for the Richmond Octāves, an all-male a cappella group. In Charles’ free time, he gives back to his alma maters, serving on the Alumni Association Board of Advisors at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, CT and working on the Recent Graduate Regional Council for the University of Richmond. While he wishes he could play rugby more frequently, he still gets involved where he can, having been elected as the Secretary for New York Rugby Club, the oldest rugby club in the United States and a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
