Joel Helzer, CFP®, CRPC®, is a Senior Vice President with Robertson Stephens in Colorado Springs. Joel brings more than 13+ years of experience in the financial services industry to Robertson Stephens. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, Joel spent his career at T. Rowe Price, where he began working directly with individual investors and families before moving into roles focused on some of the firm’s largest financial intermediary relationships across both wealth and retirement.
Throughout his career, Joel has worked across both direct client and financial intermediary channels, giving him a broad perspective on how financial planning is delivered and implemented. Much of his experience has been focused on building strategic relationships with financial professionals and helping support wealth and retirement solutions across large intermediary platforms. That background has shaped his understanding of the importance of thoughtful planning, strong relationships, and solutions tailored to individual needs. In his role with Robertson Stephens, Joel is excited to bring that experience back to working directly with individuals and families, helping them navigate important financial decisions and build long-term strategies around their unique goals.
Joel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
A Colorado Springs native, Joel has called the community home his entire life and now lives there with his wife and three young children. He values the opportunity to serve individuals and families in the same community. Outside of work, Joel enjoys camping, snowboarding, gardening, and cheering on the Denver Broncos. He and his family also enjoy traveling together, particularly trips to the beach and cruises, and finding new places and experiences to share as a family.
