Managing Director, Principal

Tom is a Managing Director and Principal and Robertson Stephens. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, he assists high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients accumulate, manage, and apply their financial and human capital resources to achieve their spending, legacy and charitable goals.  He believes each client’s goals, objectives, resources, and constraints are unique – as a result, so are their financial plans, insurance, estate planning needs and investment portfolios.

Prior to Robertson Stephens, Tom was the Founder of Haymarket Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Advisor with the sole objective of delivering a comprehensive and compelling wealth management experience to each client of the firm. Previously, he was in investment banking as a Managing Director at JP Morgan in a variety of senior capital markets positions. In addition to his time at JP Morgan, Tom served as a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners and a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns.

Tom graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Economics and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Madison, NJ with his wife Lauren and their three children.  He is a member of the Madison Area YMCA Board of Directors and serves as the organization’s Investment Committee Chairman.
